Water Heater Services in North Atlanta

No hot water is not a wait-it-out problem. A failing water heater is either about to leak across your floor, vent combustion gas into your home, or run a power bill that keeps climbing because the elements are scaled over. We service, repair and replace tank, tankless and hybrid heat-pump water heaters across Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs and the rest of North Atlanta — usually same day on common brands and sizes.

Most repair calls land in one of four buckets: thermostat or element on an electric tank, gas valve or thermocouple on a gas tank, igniter or flow sensor on a tankless, and sediment-related noise or recovery problems on any unit older than five years. We carry parts for the common failures on the truck and we'll tell you honestly when a unit isn't worth repairing.

Tank, tankless or heat-pump — what's actually right for your home

There's no universal best answer. A gas tank is the cheapest install and the simplest unit; a tankless gives you endless hot water and a 20-year service life but costs more upfront and needs a bigger gas line in some cases. A heat-pump (hybrid electric) is the most efficient option in a conditioned basement and qualifies for federal tax credits, but it's slower to recover under heavy use. We size the recommendation around your actual hot-water demand — how many bathrooms, who showers when, whether you run a soaking tub or a high-flow rain head — not around what's easiest for us to install.

If your current heater is in an attic, a closet over a finished room, or any spot where a leak would cause real damage, we'll talk about pan, drain and shutoff upgrades during the install. North Atlanta sees enough freeze events that we also check exposed lines and add insulation where it makes sense. Every install is permitted and inspected so the warranty stays valid and the home file is clean if you sell.

Why a repair sometimes beats a replacement (and when it doesn't)

A six-year-old tank with a bad thermostat doesn't need to be replaced — it needs a $30 part and an hour of labor. A twelve-year-old tank with a leaking tank seam absolutely does, because the tank itself is failing and any 'repair' is just delaying a flood. We give you the actual age, the actual condition, the actual repair cost, and the actual replacement cost, then let you decide. If we recommend replacement when repair would have worked, you'd have caught us; if we recommend repair when replacement is the right call, you'd be calling us back in three months. Neither helps.

Water Heater Repair

No hot water, lukewarm water, popping noises from the tank, a pilot that won't stay lit, or a tankless flashing an error code — most of these are repairable, often the same day. We carry common thermostats, elements, gas valves, thermocouples, flow sensors and igniters on the truck, and we'll diagnose the actual failure before we quote a part. If the tank itself is leaking or the unit is past its service life, we'll say so and quote replacement honestly. Repairs come with our 1-year workmanship warranty.

Water Heater Installation

Whether you're replacing a failing tank with the same configuration or upgrading to a different fuel, size or technology, the install needs to be done right: code-compliant venting, proper expansion tank, a working T&P drain, the right gas-line sizing and a permitted inspection. We install Rheem, Bradford White, Rinnai, Navien, A.O. Smith and most other major brands. Same-day install on common gas and electric tanks; tankless and gas-line upgrades are typically next-day. Every install is permitted and warrantied.

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless water heaters give you endless hot water, take up a fraction of the wall space, and last roughly twice as long as a tank if they're maintained. They also cost more upfront and need the right gas-line size and venting to work as advertised. We size tankless units around your real hot-water demand (number of bathrooms, simultaneous fixtures, GPM at peak), confirm gas and venting will support it, and quote the full installed cost — including any gas-line upgrade — before we start. We service and flush existing tankless units as well.
